Combeferre reaches for his own bag. He packs an extra shirt, the sandwich Bar gave him for lunch that he'd forgotten to eat, some medical tools, and a pocket knife.

"Shall I meet you in your room, then, and we can go to the Labyrinth together? I don't know how to find the Labyrinth myself , I'm afraid."

He looks about for his coat and doesn't see it. Did he leave it in the library? Damn. Well, it's not like his ideas of proper dress apply here, anyway. He can leave the room in shirt, waistcoat and trousers if he pleases, and still be wearing more clothes than most.
